The Mission House Studio, a converted stone church in the Bays of Harris, is the home and studio of Photographer Beka and Ceramist Nickolai Globe. All works on display in the studio are produced here. Beka’s large format monochrome photographs are printed in house with the highest quality materials and state of the art Fine Art Printing equipment. Nickolai’s Sculptural Ceramics are formed using innovative and original techniques fusing Clay, Glass, Minerals and Metals to produce powerful pieces that reflect the processes of landscape formation.

The road to the Mission House Studio takes in the breathtaking lunar landscape of the east coast of Harris, known as “The Bays of Harris”. Like all the roads on Harris it is small but perfectly passable in any vehicle.
The rocky coastline South of Tarbert along the Minch is full of small crofting communities, secret coves and stunning views of the The Minch, Skye and the West Coast of Scotland. It is a haven for wildlife, you will often see Seals, Eagles occasional Otters and a myriad of wildlife.
Along “The Golden Road”, there are many spectacular views and places to stop along the way including St Clements Church at Rodel.
