Future Ancestor

Having just returned from Athens, Greece, I was struck by the artefacts at the Acropolis. These ancient relics still emanating, emitting a powerful sentience of the past. It made me think of ourselves, in the passing of time, when we too will be the ancestors of the future, when we are maybe nothing but a trace of our existence, a fragment of time in the Anthropocene.
Clay is metamorphic, changing its state fro, a pliable soft body to a vitrified stone. This has some resonance with our own ephemeral state. These masks are peaceful, sleeping, dreaming of the lives we have had.
